Terms of Service

1. Introduction
Welcome to ReadBySight.com. By accessing and using this website, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service.
2. Technical Requirements
Lessons require the Chrome Browser on Mac, Windows, or Chromebook. Mobile devices, including iPads, phones, tablets, etc., are not supported for taking lessons. It is the user's responsibility to ensure they have access to a compatible device and browser before subscribing.
3. Access and Lesson Pacing
Reading lessons are designed to take roughly 1520 minutes and consist of about 900 spellings, though this varies depending on where natural breaks occur in the text being read.
Subscriptions provide access to the program for the duration of the monthly subscription period rather than for a fixed number of lessons. To encourage consistent progress, students may initiate one new lesson per day (up to seven per week), though we recommend an initial goal of four per week on a schedule that is convenient for you. Improvement should be expected over time rather than overnight, so it is important to adopt a sustainable pace from the start.
If a student leaves a lesson before it is complete, they will resume where they left off when they return. Once that lesson is completed, they may initiate another lesson on the same day.
All of this applies to Math Facts lessons as well, which are included at no additional cost, except that Math Facts lessons take roughly five minutes to complete.
4. Billing and Payment
Subscriptions are billed on a monthly cycle via PayPal. By subscribing, you authorize recurring payments in accordance with the subscription plan you select. To cancel your subscription, please log in to your PayPal account, navigate to your 'Subscriptions' settings, and select 'Read by Sight' to cancel. Your account will remain active for the remainder of the time that your most recent payment covers.
5. Access Period, Cancellations, and Reactivation
Your access to ReadBySight.com is provided in Monthly Billing Cycles. Please refer to PayPal for the precise details of these cycles and other aspects of the subscription, as they are subject to change. But roughly they work as follows.
Service Period Definition: Each "month" of a subscription is defined as one billing cycle. This period begins on the day of the month you first subscribed (your Billing Date) and extends until the next scheduled payment date.
Calendar Adjustments: If your Billing Date falls on the 29th, 30th, or 31st and the following month is shorter, your payment dateand the corresponding access periodwill shift to the last day of that month.
Cancellation Timing: A subscription is considered "Cancelled" once ReadBySight.com receives an official cancellation notice from PayPal. Upon receipt of this notice, your access will remain active until the end of the current paid billing cycle, after which no further renewals will occur.
Reactivation: If a subscription lapses or is cancelled, student progress and lesson history are preserved in our system. To resume lessons, you simply need to re-subscribe through the website. Once a new official payment notice is received from PayPal, your student's subscription will automatically reactivate, allowing the student to continue exactly from where they left off.
Finality of Payment: All payments are for the upcoming billing cycle. We do not provide pro-rated refunds for cancellations made mid-cycle; access simply continues until the cycle naturally expires.
Refund Policy: All payments are final and non-refundable.
